Stress Management
We are not offering a new and more effective program for stress management.
Like for smoking cessation, our focus is on connecting more people to stress management programs as part of their prescribed solutions for managing hypertension and diabetes (for examples).
We are actively involved with the Stanford self-management program (through McGill University) and see this program as an important component of stress management related to chronic disease.
We also see a program like Stanford as very relevant for "healthies tryng to stay healthy". Being sedentary and putting on too much weight doesn't happen overnight ... and Stanford can be as much about early intervention as about management.
